HOW WE WORK
Planned before we arrive.
Commercial, editorial and event work at MRoyPhoto runs like a production: a written brief, a call sheet two days out, selects reviewed on set, and delivery on the date we promised. In our Woodbridge studio or on location across the DMV.
NOTHING LEFT
TO THE DAY OF.
Parking, load-in, the room, the shot list and who approves selects are settled in writing before the shoot. On the day, the only job left is the photography.
Every production gets a call sheet 48 hours ahead, reissued as a new version if anything changes, so your team and ours work from the same page.
How a production runs
01 Brief and pre-production
Your intake form and a planning call set the goals, where the images will run and the shot list. The call sheet follows 48 hours before the shoot.
02 Shoot day
We arrive before your team, build and test the set, and review selects with your approver before we wrap.
03 Delivery and usage
Retouched finals arrive cropped for where they will run, named to your convention, with usage terms in writing. Event highlight selects arrive the next day.
What you receive at each stage
A confirmed brief and shot list after the planning call
A call sheet 48 hours before the shoot, reissued as a new version if anything changes
Selects reviewed with your approver before we pack up
Next-day highlight selects for events; same-week galleries for portrait sessions
Retouched finals in the crops and file names your team uses
Written usage terms with every delivery
The call sheet. One page that answers every logistics question before it is asked: call times, room, parking, contacts, schedule, shot list and approvals. See a sample call sheet (PDF)
Growing teams get the same discipline on every visit through the Team Portrait Program.
